The Christian life is a daily battle between the desires of the flesh and the leading of the Spirit. The flesh seeks comfort, sin, and self-gratification, but the Spirit calls you to holiness, discipline, and divine purpose.
To mortify the deeds of the body means to put to death anything that separates you from God — habits, thoughts, and desires that hinder your spiritual growth. You cannot overcome the flesh by willpower alone; it takes the help and strength of the Holy Spirit.
When you yield to the Spirit, He empowers you to say “no” to sin and “yes” to righteousness. That is where true life and freedom are found — not in pleasing the flesh, but in walking in the power of the Spirit.
Today, choose life by surrendering every part of you to God. Let the Spirit lead you into victory and abundant living.
